About Us

JESUSSAVESOUTREACH is a group of independent Christian from various denominations. Our mission statement is:

 

“We seek to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ by the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ;
to set people free from sin and every bondage; to heal the sick; to disciple;
to provide edification on the scriptures and the way of a Christian life.”

 

We are not a church but rather preach the gospel to the unsaved on the streets of Sydney; we ask such to find a local church. Naturally, we meet with existing Christians and here we try to develop a deeper relation to the Lord for them by prayer and exhortation; we ask people to come back to the church.

By prayer and supplication unto the Lord and with His mighty intervention, we seek to bless the churches by adding to their number. On the streets we have salvation, healing and mighty prayer – come and join us!.

 

HISTORY

JesusSavesOutreach started in 2003. In the early years it was the work of one man, Marika Waqaniveitagavi. After an amazing road to Damasus experience on a hospital bed, Marika knew he had to rededicate his life to God; he did this by undertaking street evangelism. It was a simple work but it gradually grew.

Time passed and others joined him and slowly a small group was formed and this continues to grow. What was at first quite ragtag (but gloriously clothed in Christ) has slowly become structured and now there are regular meetings, outreaches and resources.

Today, Marika Waqaniveitagavi is the president and continues to be the backbone of all core activities, giving the direction and leadership of JesusSavesOutreach. Currently JesusSavesOutreach is not a church but God has graced Marika Waqaniveitagavi to be an ordained Assemblies of God pastor. So it is that the future will undoubtedly see us forming into a church although there is no plan for this at the moment.

So you can see that there is also a great spiritual component to what we must achieve for Christ. This we must allow Christ to do in his time and under the leading of the Spirit.
